VIFIRA is a performing arts company with an emphasis on dance and circus. VIFIRA’s aim is to be a qualitative, vital, and challenging operator within these fields. VIFIRA produces and tours performances in addition to workshops for all ages. The company wishes to develop the interdisciplinary encounter between dance and circus and the process of widening audiences and markets.

VIFIRA was founded in 2008, and is run by Malin Stattin and Viktor Gyllenberg. VIFIRA produces and tours projects in the fields of dance and circus. The company aims to reach out to a broad and varied audience with quality performing arts. This is accomplished by seeking out new locations and markets for their original creations. VIFIRA performs for children, youth, and adults.

The interdisciplinary meeting between circus and dance is an important and influential pillar of VIFIRA’s work. VIFIRA aim for these two art forms to be equal, and meet and cross-fertilize to develop artisticly, businesswise and communitywise. This both for VIFIRA’s development, but also for the genres themselves in a larger perspective. The physical expression is essential.

VIFIRA constantly strives to be an important and influential operator in both the dance and circus in Sweden. VIFIRA are also working towards expanding the operations in an international perspective in order to meet new audiences and broaden markets. VIFIRA want to be a company who creates jobs in our field. 

VIFIRA is a business that is not complacent with waiting for opportunities or jobs. VIFIRA creates new possibilities. VIFIRA are doers. 



Since 2008, VIFIRA has produced and toured four performances of various kinds; the quartet ”Notariegatan 17b,”  the site specific piece ”Telgeness,” the duet ”Blåställ,” and most recently ”Hello!,” which premiered in spring 2011. The new show ”Kanon” will premiere in spring 2012. VIFIRA is based in Liljeholmen, a part of Stockholm, Sweden.
